The Foundation of Our Sisterhood Nu Omega Psi Sorotity has taken on the role of friend, mother, sister. We are traditional sorority but with a nontraditional agenda. We keep abreast of the social issues that effect our community, the health issues that effect our women, and the issues that effect the future of our children.
How and Why there is Nu Omega Psi
Two friends who wanted to be part of the sorority/Greek life founded Nu Omega Psi while attending Robeson Community College .
They examined many of the traditional(African American) sororities and researched them with no avail. Then finally on September 9th 2007, they decided to embark on a journey that would not only test their faith but the true meaning of friendship.
They would meet many obstacles and much criticism before what will forever be known as Nu Omega Psi Sorority was born.
The founders of Nu Omega Psi Sorority Incorporated, Sharon Smith and Angela Taylor, wanted a sorority home that would fit their ideals and those of their soon to be sorors.
Realizing the importance of a college education, after many years of being wonderful mothers and wives, they returned to pursue their dreams of college graduates and members of the Greek community.
They along with the other members of Nu Omega Psi Sorority Incorporated are truly shining examples of their Motto: It's never too late.
