NON-MEMBER INQUIRIES – WOMEN OF UNDERGRADUATE STATUS
Q: I am interested in membership with the Nu Omega Psi chapter on my campus. How can I contact the women in the chapter? A: In order to obtain membership to Nu Omega Psi Sorority you must fill out an application of interest and a Pledge Committee member will contact you. You may also forward your interest to one of the email addresses listed on our Contact Us page,or submit you inquiries in the submission form also located on that page.
Q: I attend a school without an established Nu Omega Psi chapter. Can I join a chapter at a neighboring university? A: All undergraduate students eligible for membership must be registered at the university where the collegiate chapter is established.
Q: I am a registered undergraduate student at a school where there isn’t a Nu Omega Psi chapter. Can I start a new chapter? A: Yes, we welcome your interest in expanding our organization on your campus. The prospective campus must be an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university to continue with the sorority expansion requirements. For information on specific criteria, please review our website section on Expansion. Our Headquarters office can offer detailed guidance and support with the requirements of the expansion process.
Q: I have completed my four-year undergraduate degree. How can I become a member of Nu Omega Psi? A: Nu Omega Psi has avenues to encourage prospective women who have an undergraduate degree to inquire about membership options. We currently do not have graduate chapters or alumnae chapters. Q: I am attending school in a graduate study program and want to be a part of a graduate chapter. What can I do to seek membership with Nu Omega Psi? GENERAL INQUIRIES – SORORITY SISTERS
I am an undergraduate NU OMEGA PSI sorority member who has transferred to another school. What, if any, sorority reporting must I complete with the chapter as I leave the institution?
To be considered in good standing, the chapter must receive your academic reports for the last semester attended at the previous university. Any pending financial obligations to the sorority chapter should be settled appropriately in a timely manner. Sorority property belonging to the chapter should be returned to an elected officer or another responsible member.
I am an undergraduate NU OMEGA PSI sorority member who has transferred to another school with a sorority chapter. What can I do to become an active member with the chapter?
You are welcome to seek out the sisters in the chapter to express your interest in becoming an active member of the chapter. You must have left your former chapter in good standing to be considered for membership with the new chapter. Once you become an active member within the chapter, you will be subject to standard membership requirements with the National organization (i.e. academic reporting, National membership dues, and scholastic achievements criteria) in addition to any chapter obligations and reporting.
I am an undergraduate NU OMEGA PSI sorority member who has transferred to another school with a sorority chapter. Can I become involved in their expansion process?
